Siapa sih Hadi Apriliawan? Kenapa saya sampai menuliskan artikel tentang dirinya? Well, dia adalah salah satu penerima SATU Indonesia Awards (SIA) tahun 2015 – masih ingat kan soal SIA ini?
Kalau gak ingat, coba deh baca lagi tulisan soal Ratu Cimol. Baik Mas Hadi maupun Mbak Cika, memiliki sifat inspiratif yang hampir mirip – sifat inspiratif untuk sukses dalam hidup.
Saya sendiri baru mengenal Mas Hadi melalui tulisan mengenai temuannya, Mesin Susu Listrik alias SuLis yang saya baca-baca di internet. Dari niatan membantu orang tuanya yang merupakan peternak sapi perah, Mas Hadi akhirnya memutuskan membuat sesuatu yang bisa memperpanjang hidup susu perah.
Di 2015, Mas Hadi mengikuti ajang SATU Indonesia Awards dan siapa sangka kalau ternyata dia menjadi salah satu pemenangnya. Mas Hadi yang sekarang bertempat tinggal di Malang, tidak berhenti memberi inspirasi.
Dari obrol-obrol bersama dirinya, saya bisa mendapatkan 7 sifat inspiratif yang membentuk dirinya menjadi seseorang seperti sekarang. Apa saja sih sifat itu?
7 Sifat Inspiratif dari Hadi Apriliawan yang Bisa Kamu Tiru dan Membuatmu Sukses dalam Hidup
Sifat dari seorang Hadi Apriliawan ini pun saya juga coba bandingkan dengan beberapa rahasia sukses di usia muda dari sebuah buku – Young On Top karya Billy Boen. Saya menemukan banyak kesamaan di sini.
1. Mencari Solusi bukan Masalah
Semua hasil yang diterima oleh Mas Hadi sekarang ini diawali dengan keinginannya mencari solusi atau jawaban atas masalah yang dihadapi oleh orang tuanya dan juga para peternak sapi perah di Banyuwangi – kota kelahirannya.
Sifat susu perah yang tidak tahan lama (kurang lebih hanya bisa bertahan kurang lebih 5 jam saja) membuat orang tuanya dan peternak sapi perah lainnya mengalami kerugian.
Karena mereka harus membuang susu perahan yang sudah dihasilkan hari itu tapi tidak bisa diproses hari itu juga.
Sifat susu perah yang tidak tahan lama (kurang lebih hanya bisa bertahan kurang lebih 5 jam saja) membuat orang tuanya dan peternak sapi perah lainnya mengalami kerugian. Karena mereka harus membuang susu perahan yang sudah dihasilkan hari itu tapi tidak bisa diproses hari itu juga.
Mas Hadi melihat adanya masalah yang penting dan harus segera diselesaikan. Akhirnya, ditambah dengan wejangan sang ayah untuk mencari cara juga, Mas Hadi berpikir keras untuk mencari solusi terbaik untuk masalah itu.
Sifat ini yang membuatnya menjadi sosok inspiratif – dan saya juga ingat saat bincang singkat bersama mbak Ollie (founder Nulisbuku.com dan ZettaMedia) – dia juga mengatakan:

2. Passionate
Nah, untuk sifat inspiratif kedua dari Mas Hadi adalah dia memang benar-benar mencintai apa yang dikerjakannya. Baik itu membuat mesin ataupun menolong orang di sekitarnya.

Mas Hadi sendiri melakukan penelitian sejak tahun 2007 hingga 2009 selama di bangku kuliah. Dia melakukannya dengan senang hati karena memang dia merasakan passion yang dimilikinya ada di sana. Hasilnya? Yah… pada tahun 2011 paten atas temuannya pun berada di tangannya.

3. Fokus
Coba saja bayangkan… melakukan penelitian sejak 2007 hingga 2009 dan berhasil mendapatkan paten di 2011 serta mendapatkan penghargaan SIA di 2015. Lama kan prosesnya? Dari memulai hingga mendapatkan sesuatu.
Saya saja pas bikin skripsi selama 5 bulan rasanya sudah muak. Nah Mas Hadi terus fokus dan tekun melakukan penelitian itu. Bahkan, dia melakukannya sembari menyelesaikan kuliahnya (beliau lulus di tahun 2011).
Memang, hasil temuannya itu juga menjadi tugas akhirnya di kuliah, tapi… coba saja bayangkan kalau Mas Hadi tidak fokus. Saya yakin mesin itu tidak akan pernah ada hingga saat ini. Sifat inspiratif ketiga ini juga hendaknya dimiliki oleh kita yang ingin sukses.

4. Bukan NATO
Iya, Mas Hadi itu bukanlah anggota NATO, justru kebalikannya. Eh bukan NATO – North Atlantic Treaty Organization – yang itu. Tapi No Action Talk Only alias OMDO. Mas Hadi ini justru memiliki sifat inspiratif seperti orang sukses lainnya:
JUST DO IT….
Dia justru melakukannya. Jarang bicara – memang dia agak pendiam sih – tapi langsung melakukan apa yang ingin dilakukannya dan membuktikan melalui hasil.
5. Bekerja Keras
Berlawanan dengan kebanyakan orang yang ingin bekerja santai tapi mendapatkan hasil maksimal, Mas Hadi justru rela bekerja keras untuk mewujudkan apa yang ingin dicapainya. Apapun yang kita inginkan, tidak akan pernah tercapai kalau kita tidak mengupayakannya.

Jadi sama saja bohong kalau kita ingin sesuatu tapi tidak mau bekerja keras mewujudkannya. Setidaknya itu sifat inspiratif untuk sukses di usia muda yang bisa kita pelajari dari sosok Mas Hadi Apriliawan ini.
Kalau saya tambahkan dari buku Young on Top – Mas Billy Boen, untuk bisa menggapai kesuksesan, hard-working saja sudah tidak cukup tapi juga harus smart-working. Kalau menurut saya, baik hard-working dan smart-working – dua-duanya dibutuhkan untuk sukses.
6. Belajar Belajar dan Belajar
Mas Hadi ini tidak pernah berhenti belajar. Setelah selesai kuliah S1, dia melanjutkan pendidikannya ke jenjang S2 – jurusan bioteknologi (ini contoh smart-working – mengambil jurusan kuliah yang memang disuka dan dibutuhkan untuk masa depannya). Selain itu, dia juga tidak berhenti untuk terus belajar mengenai inovasi mesin Susu Listrik dan produk lainnya.
Termasuk juga mempelajari dunia digital marketing yang diperlukannya untuk memasarkan produknya. Perusahaannya bahkan sudah mengekspor mesin tersebut ke Malaysia. Jangan pernah berhenti belajar – termasuk mempelajari hal-hal baru yang bisa menunjang kesuksesan kita sekarang.
7. Pantang Menyerah
Kalau membaca artikel-artikel sukses seseorang, kita mungkin lebih tertarik membaca bagaimana mereka menggapai kesuksesan itu. Padahal, di balik usaha mereka mencapai sukses itu, mereka pasti pernah mengalami kegagalan, termasuk Mas Hadi.
Dalam prosesnya hingga menjadi sekarang ini – dia memiliki perusahaan dengan jumlah karyawan kurang lebih 200 anak muda, dia pun pernah mengalami kegagalan. Ada satu masa di mana dia ditipu oleh kenalannya dalam hal investasi.
Tapi hal itu tidak menyurutkan semangatnya untuk kembali bangkit. Saya jadi ingat kisah sukses minuman 7-up yang pernah saya tulis di blog wirausaha teman saya (sayangnya sekarang sudah hilang itu blognya). 7-up bisa sukses menjadi 7-up setelah 6 kali gagal dan dijual oleh penemu awalnya.
Si pembeli mencoba lagi untuk ke-7 kalinya dan berhasil, hingga namanya pun menjadi 7-up.
Menjadi Sukses Muda seperti Hadi Apriliawan
Nah, setelah membaca 7 sifat inspiratif yang saya temukan dari sosok Mas Hadi Apriliawan di atas, apakah kamu mau seperti dia? Menjadi sukses muda (saat ini mas Hadi masih 28 tahun) bisa diraih oleh kita kalau kita mau loh.
Saya sendiri jadi terpikir untuk kembali belajar mengenai content visual – infografis dan juga video – mengingat trend ke depannya visual konten akan lebih dilirik daripada blogger. Terima kasih inspirasinya Mas Hadi.
