Menjelang akhir tahun 2016 kemarin, saya diundang oleh Astra untuk mengikuti acara Blogger Gathering. Gathering ini diadakan tepatnya tanggal 23 Desember 2016 di Midtown Bistro and Lounge, Senopati. Ada Ndoro Kakung dan Arbain Rambey di acara ini, selain Mas Maharani, salah satu peraih Satu Indonesia Awards tahun 2014.
Baca profil Mas Maharani di situs Satu-Indonesia-Awards langsung aja ya. Karena di sini saya lebih mau bahas soal apa yang dishare oleh Ndoro Kakung di sana, yaitu tentang Trend Social Media 2017. Ndoro Kakung sendiri mengambil sharingnya ini dari Buffer.
Salah satu yang diungkapkan oleh Ndoro Kakung adalah bahwa Video akan menjadi konten yang harus diperhatikan selama 2017 ini. Apa ini artinya Blogger perlu berubah haluan jadi Vlogger?
Trend Social Media 2017 – Apa Saja
Pada prinsipnya sih ada yang sama dengan Trend SEO 2017 yang saya tuliskan di Tulisan Blogger Indonesia kemarin. Seperti misalnya masalah konten di mana konten seperti video akan menjadi trend baru yang harus diperhatikan – seperti video on demand yang juga naik daun nih…
Tapi berhubung tulisan ini lebih membahas tentang sosial media, maka trend yang dibahas pun lebih banyak terkait dunia Sosial Media. Jadi apa sajakah perkembangan dunia maya terutama sosial media ini?
1. Platform Sudah Semakin Mirip
Sebenarnya ini hanya pembahasan sekilas oleh Buffer ataupun oleh Ndoro Kakung. Tapi memang kalau dilihat-lihat, perkembangan platform sosial media yang satu dengan yang lainnya memang semakin mirip.
Sebut saja Instagram. Sekarang sudah ada fitur Live Instagram – setelah sebelumnya membuka fitur Stories. Nah kedua fitur ini sebenarnya mirip dengan fitur yang digunakan oleh Snapchat kan? Demikian juga Facebook yang semakin mirip dengan Twitter yang akan mengusung masalah Trending Topic ala Facebook sendiri.

Konten Berkualitas itu Raja Gunakan fitur ini untuk memaksimalkan sharing yang dilakukan. Kalau memang kamu lebih banyak bermain di Instagram, kenapa gak gunakan fitur live Instagram untuk mengajak follower mengetahui apa sih kegiatan kamu.

2. Trend Facebook 2017
Ada 3 trend social media Facebook di 2017 ini, yaitu masalah video akan lebih berpengaruh pada setiap postingan. Alias orang lebih suka klik video dibandingkan klik link. Sudah coba belum? Saya pernah coba dan memang sharing video di Facebook lebih banyak yang klik (60% lebih diklik) dibandingkan kalau share link.
Yang berikutnya adalah masalah pencarian di Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg mengatakan bahwa sekarang itu per harinya ada 2 miliar pencarian di Facebook. Hanya di Facebook loh ya. Masih kalah sama Google sih sebagai mesin pencari yang mana jumlahnya mencapai 3,5 miliar pencarian per hari.
Yang ketiga adalah masalah Augmented Reality – sebagaimana yang diramaikan oleh Pokemon Go tahun 2016 kemarin itu. Sekarang ini, Facebook sudah mulai menggunakan fitur topeng dan juga kacamata di Facebook live.
Insight untuk Blogger
Yang terakhir ini sih saya belum pernah coba. Seriusan… belum pernah sekali pun mencoba yang namanya fitur Live, baik di Facebook ataupun Instagram. Nah, dari trend social media 2017 yang satu ini, sepertinya, kita sebagai blogger Indonesia, bisa memanfaatkan fasilitas pencarian dan video dalam postingan di facebook ini.
Tapi pertanyaan saya masih sama – apakah artinya blogger harus menciptakan video sekarang? Kalau gak ada video maka akan ketinggalan? Gimana menurut kamu?
3. Instagram dengan Business Tools dan Live Instagram
Live Instagram sudah bisa kita lakukan sejak minggu lalu. Dan booming fitur baru dari Instagram ini sudah berasa, setidaknya di sekitar saya. Walau terkadang masih juga suka melihat yang bikin bengong doang pas buka live mereka, seperti sedang tidur ataupun sedang nguap.
Mungkin ini memang sudah jadi kebiasaan ya. Maksud saya, saya juga ingat pas IG stories keluar juga awal seperti itu. Ramai dan share yang aneh-aneh. Tapi sekarang juga sudah mulai berkurang dan lebih value added.
Trend Social Media 2017 untuk Instagram ini tentunya gak lepas dari profil bisnis. Rata-rata blogger Indonesia sudah merubah profil instagram mereka menjadi profil bisnis. Memang ada keuntungan lebih jika kita menggunakannya, kita bisa lihat insight dari akun kita, jam berapa banyak yang lihat, demografisnya dan lainnya.
Kemudian trend lainnya adalah bahwa IG Stories sekarang ini sudah memperbolehkan kita menggunakan URL di sana. Saat ini memang sedang dites dan dibuka untuk akun yang verified saja. Tapi ke depannya? Well, ditunggu aja.
Insight untuk Blogger
Memanfaatkan fitur bisnis di Instagram itu sangat penting jika kamu memang kuat di Instagram. Jadi bisa berikan laporan job review dengan lebih lengkap. Dan kamu sendiri jadi bisa lebih fokus dalam posting.
Selain itu url di IG Stories itu nanti bisa jadi ajang promosi link blog kita. Sedangkan untuk Live Instagram pun juga sebenarnya bisa digunakan untuk promosi kegiatan kita sebagai Blogger. Jika datang ke acara, kita sudah bisa share live report kan melalui ini.

4. Twitter dan Trend Social Media 2017 – nya
Twitter sekarang sudah menjadi platform berita (coba saja cek di itunes store ataupun google play – kategorinya berita). Setidaknya ada 3 hal juga yang harus diperhatikan dari yang satu ini untuk trend social media 2017.
Lagi-lagi yang utama adalah live streaming via periscope yang sudah jadi satu paket sekarang ini. Twitter memungkinkan untuk live seperti platform lainnya juga dan bahkan dia juga menggandeng beberapa kerjasama untuk broadcasting, seperti NFL di US sana.
Twitter sekarang memerangi “Hateful” di timeline. Fitur Mute yang biasa dipakai untuk mematikan twit dari orang (atau orangnya sekalian), sekarang ini bisa untuk mute seluruh percakapan terkait dengan twit yang kita mute. Selain itu sudah ada fitur untuk lapor twit yang mengandung kebencian.
Yang terakhir, twitter memberikan kemudahan kepada brand yang menggunakan business twitter untuk meningkatkan customer service mereka. Lihat saja, akun twitter official brand sudah bisa kita DM tanpa harus follow. Saya sering kontak Smartfren untuk menanyakan hal-hal terkait MiFi M2Y saya.
Insight untuk Blogger
Dengan fitur baru ini, blogger bisa mempertimbangkan juga menggunakan live streaming acara yang mereka ikuti. Eh tapi jangan semua social media di live ya… kebanyakan. Dan dengan fitur mute percakapan, timeline kita bisa jadi lebih bersih dari hal yang memang mengganggu kita. Blogger pun bisa menggunakan hal ini untuk memberi berita baik.
Trend Social Media 2017 lainnya
Snapchat saat ini mungkin masih belum booming seperti yang lainnya di Indonesia ini. Tapi Snapchat sendiri sudah menjadi social media must have di US sana dan banyak digunakan brand untuk engage lebih dengan customer mereka. Snapchat memang platform media sosial yang lebih menekankan video dan fun.
Pinterest sendiri sekarang membuka peluang untuk Promoted Pins alias pasang iklan di Pinterest. Kalau memang dirimu banyak membuat infografis atau visual lainnya yang menarik, bisa pasang di sana loh.
LinkedIn sekarang ini banyak digunakan oleh Digital Marketers itu untuk branding diri mereka dan juga produk mereka. Nah, LinkedIn ini rupanya sudah dibeli oleh Microsoft. Jadi sepertinya akan adopsi juga Bing nih – yang sister company. Pertimbangan menggunakan SEO untuk Bing sepertinya lebih banyak peluang lagi nih.

Infografis ini sebenarnya berbeda sumbernya, namun ketika saya mencari trend, saya juga menemukan ini. Dan saya rasa bagus juga untuk dishare. Saya mengambil dari Red-Website-Design.
Media Sosial Tetap Bersinar – Manfaatkan sebaik mungkin
Kalau melihat trend social media 2017 di atas, saya sih masih yakin kalau mereka ini masih menjadi pilihan untuk banyak orang. Entah itu Twitter, Facebook ataupun Instagram. Bahkan kalau ada yang menggunakan Youtube atau Snapchat pun juga wokeh untuk blogger gunakan.
Ada beberapa seperti Jeff Bulla pun menggunakan social media sebagai sarana branding mereka kok. Dengan cara yang tepat, personal branding melalu Social Media itu sangat efektif, seperti dalam acara ANTM semalam – menggunakan Snapchat dan Instagram untuk branding.
Tapi… saya sendiri sama seperti Dani yang agak jengah melihat branding tentang yang didapatkan dua minggu terakhir oleh Dani yang dilakukan di sosial media belakangan – sudah baca post ?
Bicara tentang trend Social Media 2017 ini tentunya juga gak plek plek harus dilakukan. Saran saya sih pilih yang memang cocok dan dilakukan oleh masing-masing.

Aku sekarang lebih beralih ke Instagram sih om, selain bisa menyalurkan hobi motret. Dan tahun ini IG makin banyak fitur oke. Twitter sama FB sekedarnya saja buat nyinyir orang wkwkw

Aku sebenarnya paling suka IG. Tapi karena gabisa share link hidup, kadang share link via socmed lain. Hmm, video udah digaadang2 jadi trend dr tahun 2015 lalu nih. Makin menjadi kayaknya ya tahun ini. Emang musti pasang kacamata kuda nih kayaknya buat fokus di yang disenengin biar ga kebanyakan dan jadi pusing. Hahaa
Iya Nia, walau aktif di semua sosmed, setidaknya dalami 1 atau 2 sampai maksimal dan bisa optimasi. IG link bisa di profile kan? Ada beberapa yg dtg dari sana ke blog ini kok.
Sampai saat ini saya masih mengutamakan FB untuk “promosi” sambil belajar tentang IG. tapi apapun sosmednya tetap yang utama “sentuhan personal ” itu paling penting.

Aku pribadi masih berusaha mencerna semua ini, dan melihat mana yang realistis untuk dikerjakan. Bukan apa-apa, secara pribadi aku belum merasa ‘terjun’ secara utuh dalam ngeblog dan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengannya. Secara masih banyak hal lain yang harus dikerjakan. Tapi makasih share nya mas, jadi punya info tambahan terkait dengan trend social media di 2017.
Sejauh ini, social media aku gunakan untuk promo link postingan terbaru. Dan ya menyampaikan aspirasi, meskipun gak terlalu aktif juga. Seperlunya aja. Kayanya harus lebih banyak berinteraksi di dunia nyata deh hehehehe
Interaksi dunia nyata memang wajib oppa.
Untuk sosial media juga, kita sebagai blogger hendaknya memilih mana yang kita kuasai. Gak harus semua. Walau sudah klaim semua sosial media, tapi utamakan yang memang kita kuat.
