Malam ini saya ingin sekali menulis… setelah sekian lama saya tidak menulis.. baik di milis ataupun di blog.
Dalam beberapa bulan belakangan ini sudah terjadi banyak hal dalam hidup saya…
ada yang menyenangkan seperti mendapatkan teman baru… dan juga menyedihkan (termasuk di dalamnya kehilangan teman baru itu).
Namun ada satu hal yang ingin saya tuliskan dan bagi di sini…. Moga-moga berkenan.
Tentang Kamu itu Berharga
Ada seorang teman saya bercerita bahwa dia beberapa kali gagal berhubungan dengan orang yang dia sukai karena satu hal kecil. Suaranya. Suara teman saya ini memang unik… tapi ternyata tidak semua orang menganggapnya demikian.
Beberapa kali teman saya mendapatkan teman bertukar pikiran melalui chat yang menurutnya sangat cocok dengan dirinya… kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sms-an…
Namun pada saat ditelepon… orang itu langsung melarikan diri mendengar keunikan suara teman saya ini. Jujur saya sendiri memang pertama kali mendengarnya juga merasa agak2 gimana gitu.
Tapi saya menganggapnya unik… dan saya tidak peduli dengan suaranya… karena dia adalah teman yang baik… yang pintar dan sangat enak diajak berdiskusi… (walau belakangan agak jarang diskusi – ini juga karena saya-nya sih… maaf ya kawan…)
Satu yang saya katakan padanya adalah… Kamu itu unik...

Jangan pernah biarkan orang lain menilai dirimu… biarkan saja mereka pergi… pasti akan temukan suatu saat nanti.
Satu yang saya belum ceritakan ke dia adalah saya memiliki rekan kerja di kantor saya ini yang mengalami masalah dengan suaranya sejak dia lahir. Suaranya agak aneh. Jauh lebih unik dari suaranya…
Tapi… keanehan suaranya ini tidak menjadi masalah… karena apa?
Jadilah Manusia Berharga
Karena kepribadiannya. Dia adalah pribadi yang baik… rajin… mau bergaul dengan siapa saja… itulah dia… Keunikan suaranya justru menjadi ciri khas dia…. Suara nya itu menjadi harta berharga dalam hidupnya.
Teman….
Kita ini berharga… kita berharga di mata Tuhan… di mata keluarga… dan yang paling penting harus diingat dan ditanamkan adalah… kita berharga di mata kita sendiri…
Jika hal ini tidak ditanamkan… sudah barang tentu orang lain tidak akan melihat betapa berharganya kita….
Keunikan seseorang janganlah dicela… harus dinikmati segala keunikannya…. banyak yang jauh lebih ‘unik’ daripada keunikan kita…. tapi mereka justru bisa memanfaatkan keunikan mereka dalam hidup mereka…
Pernah lihat pelukis cacat?
Mereka menggunakan kaki dan mulut mereka untuk melukis karena mereka tidak memiliki tangan… Dan hasil lukisan mereka tidaklah kalah dari lukisan para pelukis terkenal….

Today, I went to the beach with my kids.
