What is your muse in life?
That is the challenge from Daily Post for last Friday’s Weekly Photo Challenge. Well, not exactly it. The challenge said what is the subjects that keeps you coming back. It shows tier photos, very beautiful pictures. I really love them, especially the one used as the Featured Image.
I was asking my friends about the definition of a muse before making this post. Muse that I know is a rock band from England, even though they are not my kind of music, but I do know and hear about them. 😀 Some friends said that you can define muse as an inspiration.
As you can see on the picture on the left, Muse is actually came from a Greek and Roman Mythology. Daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne who preside over the arts and sciences.
An inspiration…. your muse in life – your inspiration in life. Well, if you say about inspirations, my life inspirations are my mother, my sister, my brother, my friends, etc. Many becoming my muse – my inspiration in life. Even ants can be an inspirations for me to write.

My mother with her hobbies, gardening has several times inspired me to wrote about gardening. I mean, I really learn so much from life around us. For example, seeing a tree that my mother plants. I learn not to giving up. I saw a dead tree before. And I said to my mother, why she kept it in the pot? She said. It’s not dead. It’s surviving, she just moved it from other pot to this one.
And you know what? She is right. The tree grew and now it beautifully stands in its pot. I learn that, in life, we are facing this kind of situation also. When we move from one work to other, from one home to other, from one office to other ones, we need to adjust ourselves to the new environment. We have to keep surviving and not giving up to the new condition, at least not without struggle.

Even when I cooked or watched my mother cooked, we can learn also. I mean, for some, seeing a man cooks is something odd, but for other it is not. But hey,… I love to cook and learn to cook from my mother. She is a good cook. She thought many things about it and it is useful when I was in Liberia. You can read my article about Cooking Life that inspired from cooking. Yes, life is like cooking food.
There are many muse in my life. Really. A simple thing to the hardest thing like when I wrote about blogging in this blog. It is kind of hard, because I need to learn so much about blogging all over. Learning about HTML that I don’t understand much, or about SEO. But hey… life is about learning right? So, why don’t take everything happen in your life, bad ones or good ones, as a muse.
So many things that had inspired me and I wrote them in the Inspiration’s category here. That is also the reason I put inspiration as a tagline of this blog. I want to share things that really inspired me in life to all. Perhaps it would inspire you also. If not, that’s okay also, it is a writing process for me. 😀
If we talk about place that I really love that is my muse in life, that would be two places. One is beach – yes, I am beach person. And the second one is a coffee shop – a quite ones that allowed me to sit down, read books or just having a thought seeing the view through the window.
Call me melancholic (I am melancholic actually), I really love the beach. I use many pictures of beach in this blog or as an inspiration for my fictions. And I usually picturing myself sitting down by the beach. Seeing the sun sets… being alone there is no biggy for me. Listening to a song – a To Build A Home by The Cinematic Orchestra is one of my biggest muse. 😀 So here they are… my muse in life.
